The Bold and the Beautiful

Feeling bold and in need of a splash of colour to brighten up your day? Then experiment with the flamboyant and ultra stylish statement pieces from Uncommonly Beautiful.

There is no denying I'm a huge fan of bold colours but what I love more about Uncommonly Beautiful is how each piece has been put together! These one off accessory pieces demonstrate an imaginative approach to transforming waste into something so unique and gorgeous! Using found furniture and recycled materials which include clock parts, scrap leather, broken jewellery and gift wrapping. After seeing such beauty I will never look at a broken piece of jewellery the same way again...

Wish there was a way of sending all my broken jewellery to a magical place to give them a new lease of life.... maybe designer Kirsty Kirkpatrick will welcome them with her gifted hands!

You can see her gorgeous designs on http://uncommonlybeautifulrecycledaccessories.bigcartel.com

Swishing away at The Big Swish yesterday!

Yesterday I headed on down to The Big Swish hosted by The Big Wardrobe and fashion stylist Lupe Castro and boy oh boy what a day it was!!!

Like most swish parties you drop off your pre-loved clothes and then a couple of hours later you return when the doors open to swish to your hearts content, this swish however was that and to my delight a lot more! We were all treated to complementary make-overs. the chance to have a henna tattoo and skincare consultations from Dermalogica! And YES all for free..... it was like Christmas came early!

I got a face mapping consultation from Demalogica and then headed over to the bar where me and the girls got our hands on the delicious Platform Big Swish cocktails, after all it was 2-4-1, who could say no to that!

After a fun filled two hours the Swish was opened by the gorgeous Vicky Ogden by announcing the two lucky ladies who won football shirts signed by the Kaiser Chiefs in the prize draw! Was guaranteed I was going to be one of the lucky ladies... or was that all the cocktails talking!

I managed to bag a gorgeous pair of Dune boots, two Top Shop cardigans and a sparkly top from Miss Selfridge, all in a day's work! Now I'm counting down the days to the next Swish party next week Tuesday at The Long Acre in Covent Garden, tickets are booked and hands are at the ready!

Latvia’s leading natural and organic skincare brand MÁDARA has added two new exciting products - the Delicate Cleansing Milk and Herbal Deodorant - to its award-winning range of skincare products. Both products are ECOCERT certified and contain typical herbs and plants from the Baltic region, which are known for their high level of active ingredients.

The Delicate Cleansing Milk (RRP £13, 200ml) gently cleanses the skin and is perfect for people with dry or sensitive skin. The MÁDARA Herbal Deodorant (RRP £9.90, 50ml) is 100% natural, non-staining and provides all-day protection, even on a hot summer’s day! It doesn’t contain any alcohol, which can cause irritation, and its quick-drying anti-bacterial and soothing formula will leave your underarms feeling fresh, while hydrating the delicate skin in this area.

A bag full of style

In need of Summer's hottest organic bag? then check out this bag designed by Jade Jagger, in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Carnaby street, with all net proceeds going to support the Environmental Justice Foundation

The colourful print was inspired by Carnaby’s ‘Summer of Love’ as Jade’s own fashion label Jezebel has always been inspired by the never ending summer in Ibiza.  The design features Jade’s classic kiss icon lit up by a colourful rainbow. The large tote shopper is made of 100% organic cotton and features wide shoulder straps and a double internal pocket to keep your treasures safe.

Jade Jagger says: “I think the environment is so important, we must protect it with everything we have as it protects us and all we do. Everyone must make a difference and take a stand and by creating projects like this it is possible to raise the awareness and funds greatly needed to protect the environment.”

We are loving this bag and Jade Jagger! Priced at only £15.00 what more could you want!
